Decisions, Decisions

Seven helps you navigate an ever-expanding array of options and accessories to ensure your frame is designed for perfect component compatibility. Here are just a few examples of the breadth of capabilities Seven brings with every frame.

Brakes used to be simple. But options for road and utility bikes now include side pull, long reach, center pull, cantilever, V-brake, 6″ disc, 8″ disc, 10″ disc, low mount disc, or even drum brakes. Seven works with every type of brake system; we can help you make the right decision for your ideal bike.

What drivetrain system is best for your new bike? Again, the answer used to be simple. But with an ever increasing number of drivetrain systems, the choices can be overwhelming. For example, chain or belt drive? One speed or thirty? Derailleur or internally geared hub? Traditional dropouts or sliders? Threaded bottom bracket or BB30? Not only will Seven design your frame for perfect compatibility, regardless of your choice, we can help you decide what’s best for the way you’ll be using your bike, and for the part of the world in which you ride.

Ride Characteristics

Designing the perfect bike is as much about what you can’t see as what you can. Tailoring the precise degree of stiffness or compliance; balancing weight to performance; accommodating the specific demands the bike will face every day. These are achieved through purposefully selected and engineered materials. Tubing diameter, wall thickness, shape, butting, lay-up, even frame geometry all impact the bike’s ride characteristics. This is one of Seven’s specialties and we’re excited to provide your perfect ride.

“The frame is beautiful and flawless in finish. The ride is superb! I wish I’d decided to do this a long time ago.”–Rick H., Michigan
